How to return an item

If something isn’t quite right, you can return your items within 28 days of receiving your order.

Accepted Returns

  • Returned goods must be in the same condition in which they were received, including all original packaging, which must be intact and suitable for resale.
  • All original tags must be attached
  • Return must be made within 28 days of receipt

Packaging Your Return

Items should be securely packaged for return. Please do not apply tape, labels, or glue directly to the product or its original packaging (such as boot boxes or rug bags), as this can cause damage and may affect your refund. Items MUST be in new condition, clean and dry.

We do not offer a free returns service. The cost of returning a parcel to our UK warehouse must be covered by you.

How to Return your Items

  • Fill out the returns form included in your delivery
  • Find a carrier of your choice to return the parcel. The cost of return shipping is paid by you.
  • Use the original carrier where possible - If you can, return the item using the same courier (e.g. DHL, FedEx, UPS) that delivered it, as they can match it to the original import paperwork.
  • Complete customs forms correctly - On the CN22/CN23 or commercial invoice, clearly state: “UK GOODS RETURNING: DEFECTIVE / UNWANTED”
  • Declare the correct value - Use the original purchase value, and clearly indicate that the item is a return of merchandise
  • Include original tracking details - If possible, add the original import tracking or waybill number to help confirm the item was previously imported.
  • Keep proof of postage - Always retain your receipt and tracking number as proof of return in case of delay or loss.

The Gatehouse HS1-V Vented Skull Helmet has been developed from the best selling riding helmet HS1. This riding helmet offers safety which meets the criteria of the American SNELL test which is currently the most demanding assessment for riding helmets, making this riding helmet suitable for all competition disciplines including cross country.

This skull helmet is suitable for all disciplines except horse racing. If you require a skull cap for racing, Gatehouse recommend the Gatehouse R20 Skull Helmet.

As well as meeting the highest of standards for safety, this Gatehouse Riding Helmet also has added features to help keep the rider comfortable at all times. The vents allow air circulation around the rider's head, helping to keep you cool and the four-point padded harness with Aegis anti-bacterial lining provides extra comfort to the rider. Also included in the purchase is a smart padded storage bag.

Sizing Information
How To Determine Your Riding Helmet Size:

1. Circle the largest part of the skull with a soft tape measure. Take the measurement in centimeters. If measuring around long hair, tie the hair with a low-pony tail as this allows for correct measurement and reduces rotation when the helmet is worn.

2. The CM measurement you have taken equates to your riding helmet size.
