The Equilibrium Quick Chill Cooling Sheet is an innovative solution designed to cool your horse without soaking them. Perfect for use in the stable, after exercise, during warm competition days, or for horses who dislike the hose, this sheet provides cooling relief in as little as 10 minutes. Ideal for hot days or warm conditions, it offers up to 9°C of cooling in the stable and maintains comfort for up to 2 hours. The sheet is also an excellent option for horses that get hot when traveling or for locations where running water is limited.
Crafted from a high-tech, breathable open cell structure material, the Quick Chill Sheet absorbs and stores water effectively. To use, simply submerge the sheet in a bucket of water, wring out the excess, and place it on your horse. The stored water facilitates cooling through heat transfer and evaporation, while the contoured design ensures coverage of large muscle groups. The mesh sections keep the sheet lightweight and well-ventilated, enhancing its cooling capabilities. This process aids in regulating the horse's body temperature without making them wet, and the sheet can be reactivated as needed by re-soaking it.
The Quick Chill Sheet has been tested both in the stable on a hot day, as well as immediately after exercise.
The Quick Chill Sheet has been rigorously tested to demonstrate its effectiveness. In stable tests, it kept horses cooler for two hours on hot days (29℃), showing a marked difference compared to traditional sponging.
Post-exercise tests revealed that the sheet could lower the surface skin temperature by over 3°C within 10 minutes. This sheet is not only practical and efficient but also an environmentally friendly solution to managing your horse's temperature, ensuring they stay cool, comfortable, and relaxed.
Equilibrium recommends monitoring the temperature of the outside of the sheet by feel to ensure it is removed when it feels warm. It can then either be reactivated in water to be used again straight away or left to dry out.
