How to return an item

If something isn’t quite right, you can return your items within 28 days of receiving your order.

Accepted Returns

  • Returned goods must be in the same condition in which they were received, including all original packaging, which must be intact and suitable for resale.
  • All original tags must be attached
  • Return must be made within 28 days of receipt

Packaging Your Return

Items should be securely packaged for return. Please do not apply tape, labels, or glue directly to the product or its original packaging (such as boot boxes or rug bags), as this can cause damage and may affect your refund. Items MUST be in new condition, clean and dry.

We do not offer a free returns service. The cost of returning a parcel to our UK warehouse must be covered by you.

How to Return your Items

  • Fill out the returns form included in your delivery
  • Find a carrier of your choice to return the parcel. The cost of return shipping is paid by you.
  • Use the original carrier where possible - If you can, return the item using the same courier (e.g. DHL, FedEx, UPS) that delivered it, as they can match it to the original import paperwork.
  • Complete customs forms correctly - On the CN22/CN23 or commercial invoice, clearly state: “UK GOODS RETURNING: DEFECTIVE / UNWANTED”
  • Declare the correct value - Use the original purchase value, and clearly indicate that the item is a return of merchandise
  • Include original tracking details - If possible, add the original import tracking or waybill number to help confirm the item was previously imported.
  • Keep proof of postage - Always retain your receipt and tracking number as proof of return in case of delay or loss.

The Bucas Freedom 300g Turnout Blanket is a fantastic choice in outdoor wear for your horse when showers are forecast. Tough, dependable, and high performing, this is a timeless design that will keep your horse dry and comfortable throughout wear.
  • Ripstop 600D outer - this weave helps prevent any rips that do occur from spreading through the material
  • Waterproofing > 5000 mm Hydrostatic head
  • Breathability > 3000 g/24h/m²
  • 300g fill for warmth in cold weather
  • Silky Dermo-care lining with wicking properties helps to dry the horse’s coat after washing or exercise, keeping the coat smooth and soft
  • At the front of this Bucas blanket is a secure T-bar front closure
  • Cross surcingles with attachment points for leg straps to keep the blanket in place
  • A tail flap provides extra coverage from the elements
  • Can be used alone or as part of Bucas' Layering System, which allows you to use Bucas Quilts, Coolers or Liner Blankets underneath to easily increase the blanket's warmth and insulation

Fitting Guide

  1. To find out your horse's blanket size measure from the centre of the chest to the rear of the hind leg.
  2. Once you have the measurement refer to the blanket sizing guide above (for guide purposes only)
  3. When you receive the blanket please ensure you try the blanket on over a clean sheet. This keeps the blanket clean and hair free allowing for its return if the size is incorrect.
  4. Check that the blanket fits correctly - Correctly fitted horse blankets should not be too tight across the shoulder & should reach the base of the horses tail (excluding tail flap)
  5. The blanket must fit correctly before leaving the horse unattended. A blanket that is too tight may rub and pull across the shoulder. Too big and it may slip and be trodden on.
  6. Please Note: Except in the case of faulty goods we are unable to accept returned blankets unless they are clean, hair-free, include all tags and are suitable for re-sale.


Note: Bucas considers the fit of the Freedom Turnout Blanket to be a “slim fit” as it is the only blanket from their range that does not have shoulder darts. For this reason, narrow horses or thoroughbred type horses would take their normal size, but horses that are “cob-ish” or have a wide distance from the wither to the front of the chest might find this fit a little snug.
