How to return an item

If something isn’t quite right, you can return your items within 28 days of receiving your order.

Accepted Returns

  • Returned goods must be in the same condition in which they were received, including all original packaging, which must be intact and suitable for resale.
  • All original tags must be attached
  • Return must be made within 28 days of receipt

Packaging Your Return

Items should be securely packaged for return. Please do not apply tape, labels, or glue directly to the product or its original packaging (such as boot boxes or rug bags), as this can cause damage and may affect your refund. Items MUST be in new condition, clean and dry.

We do not offer a free returns service. The cost of returning a parcel to our UK warehouse must be covered by you.

How to Return your Items

  • Fill out the returns form included in your delivery
  • Find a carrier of your choice to return the parcel. The cost of return shipping is paid by you.
  • Use the original carrier where possible - If you can, return the item using the same courier (e.g. DHL, FedEx, UPS) that delivered it, as they can match it to the original import paperwork.
  • Complete customs forms correctly - On the CN22/CN23 or commercial invoice, clearly state: “UK GOODS RETURNING: DEFECTIVE / UNWANTED”
  • Declare the correct value - Use the original purchase value, and clearly indicate that the item is a return of merchandise
  • Include original tracking details - If possible, add the original import tracking or waybill number to help confirm the item was previously imported.
  • Keep proof of postage - Always retain your receipt and tracking number as proof of return in case of delay or loss.

The Beris Tongue Port Loose Ring Snaffle Bit is made with an innovative plastic mouthpiece which has a steel core running through it. This material is more pleasant in your horse's mouth compared to traditional metal bits and the surface is very smooth. This encourages your horse to chew and salivate more, thus improving acceptance.

With a flattened area on the port, the Tongue Port mouthpiece increases the amount of room for the horse‘s tongue to sit under. This encourages horses to relax, making it ideal for horses that resist pressure on the tongue and for those who tend to stick their tongue above the bit to evade it's action.

The loose ring cheeks means a greater mobility of the bit in the mouth. The snaffle bit is therefore a bit for horses that prefer a 'more mobile' bit or those who evade fixed cheeks. The ring sits in copper-lined sockets in the mouthpiece, which allow it run move freely and smoothly, while ensuring better durability.

Soft or Hard Mouthpiece?
- The soft mouthpiece is popular for young or sensitive horses are it is flexible and pleasant in the horse's mouth.

- The hard mouthpiece is pleasant in the horse's mouth, however is more suited to stronger horses as it is comparable to a traditional vulcanite bit in density.

Please note, the bit is correctly positioned with the engraving on the metal ring/cheek visible on the left-hand side of the horse's mouth. If you require any further information on the suitability of this bit, and the fitting of it, please contact our team or email info@redpostequestrian.com.

*Beris advise that mouthpieces made of a plastic compound or leather are contrary to those made of metal significantly softer and weigh a lot less. It should be noted that horse's teeth are considerably harder than any plastic compound, meaning an incorrectly fitted bit can shorten the lifespan of a mouthpiece made of these materials. If the bit is incorrectly fitted, Beris cannot offer any warranty.
